How to replace the clutch cable on a Peugeot 206

Let's see in this video how to replace the clutch cable on a Peugeot 206: we open the hood and remove the battery from its housing. We will also need to remove the container where the battery was located by disconnecting the electrical connections and removing the connections that secure the relay compartment, as well as the electrical sheaths located underneath. Next, we remove the base of the battery compartment, loosen the screws on the driver's side wheel, and lift the front of the car. Then we remove the wheel that we had previously loosened. We go underneath the vehicle, where we see the cable support and the clutch fork, from which we extract the end of the cable and remove the cable from its holder. Now, from behind the clutch pedal, we will press the pedal so that we can pull out the cable with the help of pliers and an element that helps us lift the bushing that holds the cable in place. Once freed, we can pull the cable out of the engine compartment, but we will remove it completely from the wheel arch. We find it on auto-doc with code 174901 at a price of 33.17 euros, with delivery at 9.90 euros. We insert it from the engine compartment: the tabs will lock it in place inside the cabin, from where we will pull it out manually to connect it to the push rod and then to the fork. This is not a very simple task and requires some time and attention. We check that the clutch works correctly, then we reassemble the wheel and lower the car. We reattach the metal support of the battery compartment, reconnecting the electrical sheath, reassembling the battery box, reconnecting the relay box and the electrical connector. We can put the battery back in place.
