How to Change the Key Fob Battery on a Peugeot 2008

To replace the battery in a Peugeot 2008 key fob, locate the small groove on the side or edge of the fob. Insert a plastic tool or a small flathead screwdriver into the slot and gently pry apart the two halves of the casing. Once the shell is opened, locate the button cell battery housed inside. Remove the flat battery by gently lifting it from its seat and insert the new one, ensuring the polarity is correct. Check that the battery is correctly positioned and that the contacts are well seated. Then close the fob by pressing the two halves of the casing together until fully engaged. Finally, check the correct operation of the vehicle's lock and unlock buttons.
