See how to activate/deactivate the automatic door lock on a Peugeot 508: turn on the ignition, press and hold the central locking button (the one with the lock icon). Continue holding for 5-10 seconds until you hear a "beep" confirming the setting, and see the door lock indicator light on the dashboard turn on (or off, depending on the case).

When the function is active, the doors automatically lock when the vehicle speed exceeds a certain threshold (about 6-9 miles per hour). It is a safety feature to prevent accidental door opening while driving.
