How to Change the Air Filter on a Peugeot 208

To replace the air filter on a Peugeot 208, start by opening the bonnet and standing in front of the engine compartment. The air filter is located inside its dedicated box, clearly visible once the bonnet is lifted. Before proceeding, ensure the engine is off and cold. Access the filter box and operate the clips that hold the upper cover closed. The clips can be released manually without tools, allowing you to lift the cover just enough to access the inside. Once the box is open, the air filter is immediately visible and can be extracted simply by pulling it upwards. After removing the worn filter, quickly check the condition of the housing, being careful not to let dirt or dust fall inside. Now take the new filter and insert it in the same position as the one just removed, ensuring it fits correctly all around the edge and is seated evenly.
