To reset the service light on a Peugeot 208 (second generation, from 2019), the procedure is simple and is done with the vehicle off. First, ensure that the ignition is OFF. Then, locate and hold down the button at the end of the left stalk of the steering wheel (the one for the wipers or lights, depending on the trim).

While holding the button, turn on the instrument panel (without starting the engine).

A countdown from 10 to 0 will appear on the display. Wait for the countdown to finish completely.

When the display shows "0", release the button. The service light (spanner symbol) will disappear.

The procedure is complete. If the light does not turn off, repeat the operation.

If it still fails, you may need to visit a garage for a reset using a diagnostic tool.
