Does removing the gear knob of a Peugeot 207 seem like a daunting task? Follow these steps. Use a plastic lever to detach the leather gaiter frame; cut the plastic/metal tie. Grasp the knob and rotate it left and right until it comes off the gear stick. For reassembly: take the new knob and slide it onto the stick in the centre console (secure it with the tie), tighten it onto the stick; install the new leather gaiter with the locking clips. Finally, test the movement of the stick in the centre console to ensure the knob is correctly fitted.
