How to Change the Gear Knob on a Peugeot 307

Learn how to replace the gear knob and the protective gaiter on a Peugeot 307. Take the knob in your hands and rotate it left and right until it comes off the gear stick: pull firmly to remove it from the stick. Take the new knob and push it onto the stick in the centre console until it locks in place. Test the movement of the stick in the centre console to ensure the knob is securely anchored. Use a plastic lever to disconnect the frame of the leather gaiter (if it needs replacing). Replace the gaiter before fitting the new model.
