Replacing the Gear Knob on a Peugeot 206

In this video, the gear knob attachment is broken, so the knob is already detached from its seat. If this is not the case for you, know that it takes a bit of force to pull it out: you need to pull and slightly twist it. Now, also remove the gaiter from the base; use a plastic wedge if you struggle to do it by hand. Lift the gaiter to its full extent, as shown in the video, then break the clip with cutting pliers. Once done, you can also remove the base of the knob, using a flat screwdriver. Proceed in reverse for fitting the new knob, and you're done. Cheers!
