To replace the gear knob on a Peugeot 206, detach the clips at the base of the leather cover of the gear lever so that it can be fully lifted. Once the cover is lifted, grasp the base of the knob and pull it upwards. This will allow the knob to be removed from its housing along with the corresponding cover. After removal, insert the new knob onto the end of the gear lever, securing the clips at the base of the gear knob cover.
