Replacing the cabin air filter is certainly a DIY maintenance task, and the first recommendation is to choose an activated carbon filter. On this model, there are actually two filters located behind the central console of the dashboard. To replace them, access the cabin from the passenger side and remove the pressure clip located at the centre of the front trim panel of the central tunnel, then remove the panel. At this point, the cap of the cabin air filter housing is easily accessible, allowing you to extract the filters by pulling on the designated tab. Ensure to clean the filter housing thoroughly and insert the new filters before reattaching the cap and panel.
