Where to Find the VIN on the Peugeot 301

Model: Peugeot 301 MK 1 - Years 2012-2019

You can easily find the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the front windshield, on the driver's side, displayed on a specific label, in its full form with all 17 alphanumeric digits. However, that is not the true VIN. It is the VIN in the sense that it is indeed the vehicle's VIN, also listed on the registration document - check to believe - but it is not the "legal" one, meaning that is not the one law enforcement or motor vehicle engineers will want to see for inspection or verification. Each make, model, and year of production has the VIN in a different location. The Peugeot 301 has the "legal" VIN stamped on the metal in the engine compartment, on the passenger side, next to the windshield washer fluid cap.
