If any function of the vehicle suddenly stops working, the first thing to check is whether it is powered, meaning that voltage is reaching it (use a multimeter or a test bulb): if there is no current, it is very likely that the relevant protective fuse has blown due to abnormal current draw or aging of the fuse itself. Access the fuse box (usually, the cover will have symbols indicating the correspondence between the fuse and the relevant device), remove the fuse in question and check the continuity of the protective strip: if it is open, then the fuse is blown and must be replaced with one of the same rating (check the Ampere value indicated on the fuse or adhere to the colour): using a fuse with a higher rating could damage the component.
