Replacing the Timing Belt on a Peugeot 3008

Replacing the timing belt on a vehicle is a complex task that should be performed by qualified personnel. Below are general instructions for the replacement. First, remove the panel located just below the windscreen, disconnect the battery, and remove the engine cover. Unscrew the bolts securing the engine mount on the right side. Next, remove the front right wheel and then take out the inner wheel arch. Remove the upper timing belt cover and loosen the tensioner for the auxiliary belt. Then, unscrew the crankshaft pulley and secure the relative position of the camshaft and crankshaft with a pin to maintain timing. After that, unscrew the bolts securing the lower cover, which will give you access to the drive belt that can be removed by loosening the tensioner.
