The next step is to lift the car with a hydraulic jack and place safety stands. Unscrew the bolts and remove the wheel. After removing the wheel, unscrew the cap of the brake fluid reservoir, check the level, and leave it unscrewed so that it will be easier to retract the piston. Using a screwdriver, pivot between the brake pad and the piston, pull it backward to retract the piston and release the brake pads. Using a 13mm wrench, unscrew the brake caliper bolt; once the bolt is removed, lift the caliper to remove the pads using a screwdriver as leverage. Now, clean the supports with a wire brush. Install the new pads in place with their respective clips. Lower the door and replace the bolt.
