Replacing the Battery of the Peugeot 307

If the battery of the Peugeot 307 has failed and does not respond to charging attempts, the solution is to replace it. Open the bonnet, find the battery on the driver's side, disconnect the positive terminal, remove the plastic cover, and disconnect the negative terminal. Using a socket wrench with an extension, unscrew the bolt that secures the retaining bracket at the base of the battery. Remove the old battery and place the new one in position, securing the bracket at the base, and screw in the bolt, using a piece of paper if necessary to aid positioning. Apply copper grease to the terminals, reconnect the negative terminal, replace the plastic cover, and reconnect the positive terminal.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
