When you cannot open the boot of the Peugeot 206, you need to perform an emergency manoeuvre. To do this, recline the rear seats and then remove the clip located above the right side of the lock.

Insert a cross-head screwdriver and 'play' with the internal lever to open the boot. Once this operation is completed, you can open the bonnet and carry out the necessary maintenance to ensure the opening mechanism works again, either by replacing the lock itself or one of the internal connectors located inside the tailgate panel.
