What can happen if you accidentally touch the gear knob of a Peugeot equipped with the EAT8 automatic gearbox? If you are driving normally with the gear in "D" and accidentally touch the gear lever without moving the selection, nothing happens. However, if you push it further and change the selection, the car will go into "neutral", so you need to quickly return it to "D" and continue without damage.

There is no problem if you are driving on flat ground, but be cautious if you are on an incline as it could be a serious issue.
