Transmission oil change on Piaggio Liberty 50

It is recommended to use the specific 80W-90 oil for the transmission. Turn the scooter on for a few minutes to warm up the oil in the circuit. Unscrew the screw that acts as a plug to the drain hole of the variator box, as shown in the video. Use a hose to collect the used oil in a pan, as the drain hole is in a rather awkward position. Once finished, tighten the screw with the ratchet wrench and unscrew the top fill cap by hand. Measure the quantity of oil poured and fill the same from the upper hole. Nothing easier! Good job!

In this video, our youtuber advises us, based on his experience, three things NOT to do on the Piaggio Medley 125. First, the fuel cap has a water drainage hole, which must be positioned in a specific way, namely with the half moon towards the driver's seat, as shown in the video. The second thing is not to turn off the engine when the Start & Stop function is active: the engine will only start by pressing the start button; it can be done in reverse, when the engine is idling. The third thing is not to adjust the spring preload too often, and when you do, support the tool with your index finger.
