Replacing the Steering Lock on Piaggio Ciao

Model: Piaggio Ciao
Part: Door lock

Video tutorial

Using a flat screwdriver, remove the small cover of the steering lock, prying it off from underneath as shown in the video. Tap the lock of the same steering lock with a screwdriver or a similar tool and a hammer.

Using a drill and a 2.5 mm bit, start drilling, cooling the bit occasionally by stopping and applying some spray. After a while, increase the bit size (for example, to 3.5 mm) and continue drilling, gradually working up to a 6 mm bit. When the inner part starts to rotate, you can extract the lock cylinder.

Install the new lock cylinder as shown in the video.

How to Replace the Front Brake Pads on an Aprilia RS 457?

The front brake pads on an Aprilia RS 457 can be replaced by unscrewing the bolts that secure the caliper to the corresponding disc, allowing it to be removed: once the caliper has been removed, you can slide out the pin that holds the pads in their place. At this point, remove the old ones to insert the new ones: these must be secured with the appropriate pin, so that you can then reposition the caliper onto the disc. Now, secure the caliper with the bolts to ensure that the brake is functioning.
