To replace the variator on a Piaggio MP3, you need to loosen the bolts securing the cover of the casing near the rear wheel, just below the air filter box. Once the cover is removed, you will have access to the components inside: to remove the variator, unscrew the central nut that secures it to its shaft, also freeing it from the belt itself. At this point, you can insert the new replacement part and reposition the belt around it, covering everything with the casing cover.
