First, put the center stand and start removing the plastic cover that we find above the glove box, on the right; then we unscrew the coolant reservoir cap, as shown in the video. Now let's remove the three fixing screws of the water pump casing, letting the fluid drain into a container for about ten minutes; we just have to pour the new antifreeze liquid, filling up to the level!

How do you change the engine oil of the BMW R 1200 GS?

The replacement of the engine oil of the BMW R 1200 GS is carried out by loosening the bolts that secure the skid plate positioned in the lower part of the bike. Once this plate has been removed, it will be possible to unscrew the drain plug below, so that the used oil can be collected inside a suitably positioned container. Next to the drain plug you will find the oil filter, which in turn must be extracted and replaced with a new one. After the replacement, it will be possible to top up from the special vent on the crankcase to the left of the bike.
