In this tutorial we can see how to replace the engine oil in the Piaggio Vespa GTV 300 scooter, an extremely simple and fast operation, to be carried out every 12 months. First of all, we wait for the engine to cool down sufficiently, then we position a container underneath it, locate the drain hole bolt and unscrew it using a socket wrench. We then remove the secondary filter, clean it from any dirt residue and let all the oil contained in the system drain out. At this point, we can open the housing of the main filter, replace it, reassemble everything and pour the new oil through the appropriate hole.

How do you change the engine oil of the BMW R 1200 GS?

The replacement of the engine oil of the BMW R 1200 GS is carried out by loosening the bolts that secure the skid plate positioned in the lower part of the bike. Once this plate has been removed, it will be possible to unscrew the drain plug below, so that the used oil can be collected inside a suitably positioned container. Next to the drain plug you will find the oil filter, which in turn must be extracted and replaced with a new one. After the replacement, it will be possible to top up from the special vent on the crankcase to the left of the bike.
