Replacing the Serpentine Belt

Model: Porsche 911 996 - Years 1997-2005
Part: V-belt

To access the replacement of the auxiliary belt, first remove the engine air filter housing along with the intake ducts. Be sure to disconnect the mass air sensor connector before removing the housing from its position. At this point, before removing the belt, note its correct routing around the various pulleys. Loosen the tensioner by turning it clockwise to remove the old belt. Then, check the free rotation of the bearings and install the new belt, ensuring it properly adheres to the pulleys.
