How to Replace the Fuel Filter on a Ram 2500 [USA]

To replace the fuel filter on this model, follow these steps. Open the hood and lift the vehicle. Above the driveshaft, at the rear center, you will find the filter. Get a container to catch the fuel and place it on the ground. Unscrew the drain plug located on the side of the filter cover and drain the fuel. Next, using a socket wrench, unscrew the filter cap, being careful as more fuel will come out. At this point, remove the filter and take the new filter suitable for the vehicle (refer to the owner's manual). Replace the o-ring on the filter cap threads and lubricate it. Insert the new filter into the housing in the correct orientation and push it in fully, then screw the cap back on and tighten it with the socket wrench.
