To correctly replace the button battery in your RAM 2500 smart key (2009-2019), follow these simple steps. First, locate the button on the front of the key and press it to remove the physical emergency key. Next, use a small flathead screwdriver (or a similar object) to open the cover and access the battery to be replaced.

Remove the old battery and insert the new one. Finally, reattach the cover and insert the emergency key back in.
