The procedure to replace the button battery located inside the smart key of your RAM ProMaster is very similar to that seen in many other vehicle models. Below are the various steps needed. First, press the small button located at the top of the cover and simultaneously remove the physical emergency key. Next, open the cover with a flat screwdriver (or similar object) and proceed to replace the dead battery with a new one (model CR 2032). Finally, reassemble the cover.
