How to Replace the Cigarette Lighter in a Dodge RAM 2500 Mk3

This guide shows how to replace the cigarette lighter in the Dodge RAM 2500 Mk3. The replacement procedure is very simple and can be easily performed using the extraction tool provided with the replacement kit. The first step is to insert the extractor head into the cigarette lighter cylinder. Inside the piece, there are two small holes that allow for the release of the plastic retaining clips; this operation can be slightly challenging. Once the extractor is inserted, pull with some force while holding the dashboard trim to avoid damaging it. After extracting the cylinder, disconnect the electrical connector and replace it with the new piece. Slide the cigarette lighter in until it clicks into place with the two retaining clips. Check for proper operation.
