Let's see how to remove the cigarette lighter socket - which is actually a power outlet for most of us - from our car, keeping in mind that the procedure applies to most vehicles. It is advisable to disconnect the battery and remove the corresponding fuse to avoid any problems. Look for the two square holes opposite each other inside the socket (they are the elastic stops). Insert the two-point tool that is part of the Dorman kit that we can purchase (composed of 925 pieces) on Temu with code VC305333 at a price of 12.94 euros (delivery on this platform is free for purchases over 20.00 euros); push inwards and then pull up gently. Disconnect the electrical connector. We can find the new socket also on Temu with code LD1100135 at a price of 1.52 euros. Insert the socket into the housing until you hear a "click" (locks locked), reconnect the battery and the fuse, and the job is done.
