How to Remove the Rear Shock Absorber from a Renault Megane

Model: Renault Megane Megane 2 - Years 2002-2010
Part: Shocks

Do you want to remove the rear shock absorber from a Renault Megane? Follow these steps carefully. The first step: loosen the wheel nuts, lift the car on a column lift, and remove the wheel. Using a socket spanner, unscrew the screws of the plastic cover located under the wheel arm. Now unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts and the vertical arm bolt. Lower the car with the column lift and unscrew the bolt located at the side in the boot, then remove the shock absorber from its housing. Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation: insert the shock absorber into its housing and first tighten all the upper bolts in the engine bay, then secure the lower part. Screw the vertical shock absorber to the wheel hub and tighten all the bolts with your socket spanner. Finally, refit the wheel with the respective nuts.
