To adjust the handbrake on the Renault Clio, lift the car with a jack so that the right rear wheel is off the ground. Once removed, free the bolts securing it to its housing to access the underlying drum.

The drum can be released from its seat to access the components below. Adjust the shoes using the bolt located at the top to increase or decrease the handbrake's intensity.
