The cigarette lighter socket is increasingly used to power small electrical devices, such as smartphones and tablets. This more frequent use increases the likelihood that disconnecting these devices will cause a surge that triggers the protective fuse.

If this happens, open the fuse compartment located in the dashboard to the left of the steering column. Identify the fuse corresponding to your device using the diagram found in the owner's manual; it is the third from the left in the bottom row. Remove it and replace it with a new 25A fuse, then close the plastic panel.
