In order to unlock the electric handbrake of the Renault Scenic, you will first need to turn on the instrument panel by inserting the ignition key into the corresponding slot. Once the panel is on, you can press the brake pedal and pull the button located on the central tunnel with the icon of the letter P inside a circle.

By doing this, you will notice that the handbrake is engaged, as indicated by the light that will turn on on the button. To disengage it, simply push it down, also turning off the light.
