How to change the brake pads on the Renault Captur 1

Let's see how to change the brake pads on the Renault Captur 1: first, open the hood and unscrew the cap of the brake fluid reservoir; lift the car and place two jack stands underneath; remove the wheels. Remove the two bolts from the caliper brackets and hang the caliper with a wire or a strap to the shock absorber. Unlock the pads from the disc, using a flat screwdriver, and retract the piston with pliers, then clean the pad seat with a wire brush and brake cleaner. Apply copper grease to the new pad supports: this will prevent future noises. Insert the pads into the caliper, sliding them in. Reassemble the piston and tighten the bolts to 35 Nm. Repeat the process on the other side, then reassemble the wheels and lower the car. If there were any excessively rusted bolts, do not hesitate to replace them. If the brake fluid rises too much after replacing the pads, aspirate it with a syringe.
