How to change the transmission oil on a Renault Megane II 1.5 dCi

Let's see how to change the gearbox oil on a Renault Megane II 1.5 dCi: it is advisable to use a transmission cleaner using a funnel and a tube: unscrew the filler cap (the white plastic cap on the left side of the gearbox), such as Motul-Transmission Clean that can be found on eBay with code 186826099450 at a price of 10.14 euros + 5.99 euros for shipping. Replace the cap and start the engine at idle for 15 minutes; this helps to loosen deposits. Then lift the car and support it on jack stands. Under the drain plug, place a container for collecting the old oil (which will then be disposed of correctly at an authorized center). Replace the plug and gasket and insert the funnel into the filler hole, slowly pouring in the new oil: the gearbox fills by overflow, so the oil is at the correct level when it starts to come out of the filler hole, so to do this operation we must lower the car again. Screw the cap back on, and run the engine at idle for a minute, then gently engage the gears with the handbrake pulled.
