How to Change the Oil and Filter on the Renault Megane III

In this video, you will learn how to change the oil and filter on a Renault Megane III 1.6 DCi: start by removing the undertray to access the engine oil drain plug; open the engine oil cap and dipstick at the top, and now you can remove the lower plug. Allow the oil to drain into a container, which you will then dispose of properly at an authorised centre. The oil to replace the used oil is SAE 5W30, and you will need 5.5 litres. Now, let's focus on the filter; remove the cap, let it drain into the same container as the used oil, and replace it. Refit the cap (it is advisable to replace it, and you will definitely change the seal) and now pour the new oil into the reservoir. Run the engine for a bit to allow the new oil to reach the filter and refit the undertray. You are done.
