In this video, we see how to change the oil and filter on a Renault Megane III 1.6 DCi. We start by removing the underbody to access the engine oil cap. We open the engine oil cap and dipstick on the top, and now we can remove the cap on the bottom. We will drain the oil into a basin, which we will then dispose of correctly at an authorized center. The oil to replace the old one is an SAE 5W30, and we will need 5 and a half liters. Now let's focus on the filter; we remove the cap, let it drain into the same basin as the old oil, and replace it. We put the cap back in place (it would be better to replace it, and we will definitely change the gasket) and now we pour the new oil into the reservoir. We run the engine for a bit so that the new oil reaches the filter, and then we put the underbody back in place. We're done.
