How do you remove the airbag of a Renault Kangoo MK2?

Model: Renault Kangoo FW, MK 2, FC - Years 2007-2021
Part: Airbag

In this video, we see how to disassemble the airbag of a Renault Kangoo MK2: before performing this operation, we always recommend disconnecting the negative pole of the battery to prevent the airbag from inadvertently activating. Unlike many vehicles that have the release spring on two different sides of the steering column, the Renault Kangoo has only one fixing element. We release it by keeping the steering wheel straight. On the back of the steering wheel itself, we find a hole where we can enter with a small screwdriver: here we will release the holding spring of the airbag module, which will release it. At this point, using a screwdriver, it will be enough to disconnect the electrical connector located behind the module.

Once the securing bolts are removed: take out the mirror along with the adjustment electrical cables (manual wires) from the car door. To reassemble: refit the mirror with the bolts, the adjustment cables, and the plastic trim into the door panel. Finally, test the correct operation of the mirror.
