How to Replace the Timing Belt on Renault Laguna

Model: Renault Laguna X56, Laguna 1, MK 1 - Years 1994-2001

To replace the timing belt on a Renault Laguna: lift the car on a column lift or jack (if necessary, remove the front wheel and the right wheel arch cover with a screwdriver). Once these operations are completed, lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover. Remove the metal cover, then use a fixed spanner to loosen the tensioner roller and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the tensioner roller fastening bolt, and remove the water pump as shown in the video. Fit the new water pump (previously removed), the tensioner, and the belt itself, and tighten everything with the socket spanner.
