Replacing the Camshaft Oil Seal

Model: Renault Laguna MK 2, Laguna 2, X74 - Years 2001-2007

Remove the timing belt cover and secure the pulley to prevent it from rotating accidentally. Take off the timing belt and remove the pulley. Replace the camshaft oil seal with a new one. Before proceeding, it is advisable to lubricate the new seal with a bit of oil. Insert it, applying even pressure around the entire circumference of the seal. Finally, to push it all the way in, gently tap it with a plastic hammer using a tube of the same diameter as the seal. At this point, you can reassemble the pulley, timing belt, and protective cover. The screws for these components should always be tightened according to the manufacturer's specifications. Car model: Renault Laguna
Required tools: socket wrench of various sizes, torque wrench, plastic hammer.
