How to replace a headlight bulb on a Renault Modus.

On your Renault Modus, accessing the bulbs can be somewhat inconvenient from the engine compartment. To work with enough space, it's advisable to create access from the front by intervening on the bumper area and the fastenings near the headlights. Park the car on a level surface, turn everything off, and let the headlight area cool down; for safety, it's wise to avoid contact with hot parts and to work with clean gloves. Open the hood and prepare the work area in front of the vehicle. If access behind the headlight is obstructed, detach and remove the fastenings of the bumper at the top and on the sides, freeing enough space to reach the screws or anchoring points of the headlight assembly. Once you have the space, locate the back of the headlight: remove any protective cap, disconnect the connector, and release the bulb from its holder (depending on the configuration, it may be a rotating block or a clip). Insert the new bulb in the correct position without touching the glass with your fingers, close the holder, and reconnect the connector. Before closing everything up, turn on the ignition and check the operation of the replaced light. If everything is okay, reattach the rear cap of the headlight, reposition the headlight assembly if it was loosened, and realign the bumper, reinserting all the fastenings. Finally, check that the gaps between the bumper and headlights are even and that no clips are missing.
