When the vehicle struggles to start when cold, the main cause is the malfunction of the camshaft sensor, which needs to be replaced. The camshaft sensor on the Renault Clio 1500 dci is located under the front bonnet next to the engine. To replace it if necessary, remove the engine cover and use a flat screwdriver to unscrew the screws securing the sensor, then disconnect the connector and remove it. Reinstalling it is not difficult; simply connect the connector and screw in the support screws.
