How the Automatic Parking Works on the Renault Captur Plug-in Hybrid
Model: Renault Captur
MK 2
- Years 2019-2026
How does the automatic parking system work on the Renault Captur plug-in Hybrid? The system is called Easy Park Assist and is activated by pressing the dedicated button near the gear lever. The car analyses the lateral space using ultrasonic sensors both front and rear. To search for a space, you need to drive slowly near parked cars. When the radar finds a suitable space (which must be 1.2 times the length of the car), a message appears on the display saying "space detected". The vehicle prompts you to select the gear and take your hands off the steering wheel, and the car automatically performs the necessary manoeuvres, while your intervention is limited to the brake and accelerator. Once the manoeuvre is complete, the car indicates that parking is finished. It works for both parallel and bay parking, but struggles with steep uphill or downhill parking and very high kerbs.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHow to Remove the Front Shock Absorber on a Peugeot 406
How to remove the front shock absorber on a Peugeot 406? The first step is to lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts (engine bay), lift the car on a column lift and remove the front wheel. Unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts at the wheel hub (detach the brake line clips with a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolts on the side, then remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Fit the new shock absorber to the car, working in reverse order. by ScegliAuto More videos
