Electrical Problems from Water Under the Seat of a Scenic II

In this video, we see wet wiring under the driver's seat, where there is stagnant water. This explains the car's electrical problems (ECU, headlights, horn) as the connectors corroded. The reasons for water under the seat may likely stem from the air conditioning drainage, located under the engine bay, which could be blocked, causing water to flow back into the cabin. This situation occurs when turning on the A/C at full power; check if water is coming out from under the vehicle; otherwise, the drain is clogged. If water only enters when it rains, it may be coming from the driver's door seal: try spraying water on the driver's door to see if it enters. Another reason could be the drainage channels under the windscreen, blocked by leaves, allowing water to enter the cabin. If there is a sunroof, that could also be a suspect. Once the culprit is found, remove the seat, dry everything, and ventilate well to avoid mould. Clean the connectors with isopropyl alcohol and spray WD-40 for electrical contacts to prevent corrosion.
