To replace the knob, follow the procedure described. Remove the black frame at the base of the rear derailleur and slide the leather boot upside down; detach the clamp fastening the knob and pull the knob vigorously towards you to remove it from the gear lever. If pulling the lever also removes the white plastic inside the knob, it is advisable to buy it new rather than recover it from the old knob. Insert the new knob inside the cap and put on a new fixing clamp, after applying the white plastic, reposition the knob on the lever and press firmly to insert it into position. Apply the black frame and you are done.
