What Problems Does the Immobiliser on the Renault Clio III Have and How to Solve Them

The immobiliser on the Renault Clio III is a security system that can have known issues. It communicates between the key and the engine control unit (ECU). If the key code is not recognised, the ECU blocks the fuel injection and the vehicle will not start. In this case, the immobiliser light flashes; if it stays on and the vehicle tries to start but does not, the key code is corrupted. If the light is on and nothing happens, then there is a fault with the UCH (a common problem with the Clio III). There are many companies specialised in repairing these modules; otherwise, the complete UCH+ECU and key set must be replaced!

How to Repair the Key Spring of the Peugeot 207?

Over time, frequent use of the key's flip mechanism in the vehicle, dozens of times a day, inevitably leads to wear of the internal spring. As shown in this video, replacing the spring is quite simple and takes little time. After opening the casing halfway, first position the key, then the spring housing, and finally insert the spring into the previously mentioned housing. Close the casing by rotating it clockwise, ensuring all components fit perfectly, and test the key's flip mechanism.
