Let's see how to replace the sliding door handle on a Renault Trafic: first, you need to remove the inner door panel to access the internal mechanisms. This involves removing the handle, unscrewing the hidden screws, and detaching the panel from the door structure. Once the panel is removed, you will have access to the back of the mechanism. Disconnect all electrical connectors and mechanical control cables. The lock is secured to the door skin with rivets, which must be removed with a drill of the appropriate diameter to break their heads. Be very careful when handling plastic parts, as they can break easily. Before installing the new piece, connect all the connectors and cables to the new lock. It is much easier to do this now that the piece is not secured. Insert the new lock through the door hole and secure it with new rivets. Now reassemble the door panel, but not before testing the operation.
