The ABS sensor fault is unfortunately a common issue on the Renault Clio III; the first step is a visual inspection, which can be done without tools. The sensor is inserted into the wheel hub, towards the brake disc. Check that it is not physically damaged; follow the sensor wires, which are covered by a sheath. Look for frayed, cut wires or oxidised or loose connectors. The wiring is subject to vibrations, heat, and dirt. Lift the car, disconnect the connector, and unscrew the single nut that secures the sensor, which is often stuck due to rust.
