Although the key for the Renault Megane 3 resembles a card more than a traditional car remote, the method for replacing the internal battery remains the same. As usual, first extract the mechanical key by pulling it out while pressing the release button with the other hand.

Then, using a suitably sized flathead screwdriver, pry open the battery compartment cover and remove the old battery, replacing it with an identical one. The identification code on each of these batteries helps ensure you get the right one.
