To connect the jump leads on a Renault Master MK2, the positive point is located in the engine compartment, under a red cover on the passenger side (or near the battery if accessible). The negative point should be connected to a metal ground of the vehicle (not to the negative terminal of the battery, which is hidden under the seat).

The actual battery is under the driver's seat or between the seats, but for emergency starting, use the points in the engine compartment. Connect the positive lead to the positive point of the donor vehicle (terminal 3), then to the positive of the support battery (terminal 2). Connect the negative lead to the negative of the support battery (terminal 1), then to a metal ground of the donor vehicle (terminal 4). Start the donor vehicle at medium revs, then start the Master.

Once started, disconnect the leads in reverse order: 4-3-2-1.
