Replacing Gearbox Oil

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005

Lift the vehicle on appropriate axle stands, locate the gearbox oil drain plug and unscrew it after positioning a container to collect the used oil underneath. Clean the plug of any metal dust residues, apply a new gasket, and tighten it. Then proceed to refill with new oil, which is recommended to be done from the engine bay using a tube attached to a funnel to insert it into the gearbox fill hole: the oil is at the correct level when it begins to overflow from the fill hole. Finally, apply and tighten the plug. You will immediately notice reduced noise and smoother gear engagement.
