How to change the gearbox oil on the Renault Clio

Today, you will learn how to independently change the gearbox oil on the Renault Clio IV. Start the replacement by opening the front bonnet and removing the breather cap, into which you should insert a small funnel. Before replacing the oil, pour a pre-change cleaner into the breather. Replace the cap on the breather and let the vehicle run for 10/15 minutes with the engine at idle. To change the gearbox oil, lift the front of the vehicle and remove the left front wheel. Remove the plastic cover of the engine by unscrewing the bolt with a 30mm Torx key and a ratchet with a 10mm socket. With the help of a square key, unscrew the drain plug and let the oil drain into a previously positioned container. Allow the fluid to drain into the container for a few minutes and replace the drain seal with a new one. Tighten the tank bolt and unscrew the filling cap located on the driver's side. Use a plastic tube to pour the oil into the tank. Once the tank is filled, screw on the white plastic cap. Reposition the cover and lower the vehicle.
